This company was established in 2005 in Tehran. The main activities of the company are completion, development, and establishment of productive plants, companies and complexes. In addition to investing and participation in all affairs related to the profit – yielding petrochemical downstream industries. The place and credit ability of Petrochemical Downstream Industrial Development Company is based on participation of National Petrochemical Industries Company and Petrochemical Industries Investment Company ( each holder of 35% of the company s shares) and six large investment companies of the country ( each 5%) and it has been agreed that all petrochemical downstream industries to be concentrated in this company . At the present there are plenty valuable and virgin opportunities in petrochemical downstream industries in Iran and neighboring countries which could be highly profitable for the company. The approved projects which are in progress include: Melamine Crystal, Polybutylene Terephthalate, Butane Diol, Salt extraction, Granulate and Bentonite Sulfur, Acetic Acid, Phenol and Acetone.
